Vijay’s latest campaign move comes at a crucial time, with polling scheduled for April 9. Voter participation was notably high at 84.8 percent.
Looking further back to 2016, the Congress had achieved a majority with 15 seats. During that election, AINRC secured eight seats, AIADMK won four, and DMK managed two seats. The voter turnout then stood at 83.6 percent, indicating consistently strong electoral participation in the region.
