Crime Investigation – Man Found Dead Inside Car at Delhi Mall Parking
Crime Investigation – A man was discovered dead inside a parked vehicle at a shopping mall in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar area on Tuesday, prompting a police inquiry. Authorities said the initial findings indicate that the death may have been caused by natural reasons, though further details are still being verified.

Body Discovered in Mall Parking Area
The incident came to light after information was received about a person lying motionless inside a car parked within the premises of a mall in Mayur Vihar. Police teams reached the spot soon after being alerted and examined the situation.
According to officials, the man was found seated inside the vehicle. There were no immediate signs of struggle or external injury visible at the scene. The vehicle was stationed in the parking area for a considerable period before the matter drew attention.
Victim Identified by Police
Delhi Police later identified the deceased as Narendra, a resident of Illahabas in Noida. His family has been informed about the incident. Officers said that standard legal procedures were being followed, including documentation and coordination with relatives.
Preliminary assessment suggests that the man may have suffered a sudden medical emergency while sitting in the car. Investigators indicated that a heart attack is suspected to be the likely cause, based on early observations.
CCTV Footage Under Review
Surveillance footage from cameras installed in the mall’s parking area has been examined as part of the investigation. Officials stated that the footage shows the man entering the vehicle and remaining seated inside. There was no evidence of any suspicious individual approaching or interacting with him during that time.
Police sources said the video material supports the theory that the death occurred due to natural causes. However, authorities are continuing to review all available footage to rule out any possibility of foul play.
No Signs of Foul Play So Far
At this stage, investigators have not found indications of criminal involvement. The car doors were not forced open, and there were no visible injuries on the body that would suggest violence.
As per procedure, the body has been sent for post-mortem examination to confirm the exact cause of death. The medical report is expected to provide clarity on whether a cardiac arrest or another health-related issue led to the incident.
Investigation Continues
Police officials emphasized that while the circumstances currently point toward a natural death, the inquiry remains open until the post-mortem findings are received. They added that more information will be shared once medical confirmation is available.
The incident briefly caused concern among visitors and staff at the mall, but normal activity resumed after authorities completed their preliminary checks.
Further updates are awaited as the investigation progresses.
