Chief Minister Omar Abdullah: Omar Abdullah says we will choose our own and distances the Indian bloc from Congress’s Vote Chori campaign

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah:  Omar Abdullah, the Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, drew a line between the INDIA bloc and the Congress on Monday, stating that the INDIA bloc has “nothing to do with Congress’ vote chori campaign.” He also added that the Congress is free to set its own agenda and that no one can dictate to it what it should do.

“The Congress’ ‘Vote Chori’ campaign is unrelated to the INDIA alliance. Each party is free to choose its own agenda. The Congress has decided to make SIR its primary concern and vote on Chori. Who are we to give them instructions? “We will choose our issues, and they can choose theirs,” Abdullah said to the press.

Abdullah’s “Life Support” Remark Infuriated A week before, Abdullah’s colleagues said that the INDIA bloc was on “life support.” Colleagues had responded strongly to the statement, with some acknowledging it and others disputing its veracity.

“We’re kind of on life support, but every now and then someone pulls out his paddles and shocks us a little, and we get back up.” At a media conference in Delhi, Abdullah said, “But then, regrettably, results like Bihar happen, and we slump down again, and then somebody has to wheel us into the ICU.”

Manoj Jha, the head of the RJD, responded to Abdullah’s comments about life support by calling it a “hurried” statement. “Omar is a member of the alliance even if it is on life support. What efforts is he doing to bring it back to life? All members are accountable for this; it is not just a party issue. “Teasing is not the end of responsibility,” Jha told news agency PTI.

However, Shahnawaz Hussain of the BJP made fun of the opposition bloc’s purported lack of unity by stating, “Omar Abdullah is wrong.” The INDI alliance has passed away and is not on life support.

In Delhi, the Congress hosts a massive “Vote Chori” rally.
The Congress staged a massive “vote chori” campaign at Delhi’s Ram Lila Maidan the day before Abdullah claimed that the INDIA bloc had nothing to do with the party’s strategy. It said that the Election Commission had conspired with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to rig the election in the BJP’s favor. The BJP and the ECI, however, have refuted Congress’s assertion.
