Many people gathered outside the JJ Nagar Police Station after the event, calling for prompt action against the individuals who were allegedly guilty for the stone-pelting.

Within the boundaries of the JJ Nagar police station, an incidence of stone-pelting directed at Om Shakti devotees was reported close to the Om Shakti temple at V.S. Garden, according to the police. The stone-throwing hurt a young Om Shakti devotee.

Devotees said that during the Om Shakti celebration, which was then in progress, stones were thrown from a nearby neighborhood while the deity’s chariot procession was taking place.

A sizable crowd gathered in front of the JJ Nagar Police Station as a result of the event during a Hindu religious holiday, which infuriated Hindu organizations.

N. Yathish, the deputy commissioner of police for Bengaluru West, said that police officers have been stationed in the area as a precaution and that the situation is now under control. He went on to say that the accusations are being investigated and that the results will determine what has to be done.

Protesters said that the miscreants were members of a different community, but the police stated that this accusation has not been verified. Authorities insisted that before making any judgments, a comprehensive investigation would be carried out and that facts are being confirmed.

Nonetheless, the demonstrators said that they deal with these issues in the region every day. They insisted that a wall be built in the area to keep them from being targeted, claiming that they are always afraid.

They said that women and children are often targeted on the streets and that it has become impossible for females to simply travel freely on the roadways. They sought protection from the government, claiming that anyone who speak out or oppose are picked out and harassed.

In order to register a case and expedite the investigation, police officers requested that everyone in attendance submit a formal complaint. Since then, police have begun looking into the event.
