10/11 Attack: An NIA investigation reveals that a trial explosion was carried out in Faridabad a year before to the Delhi car explosion
10/11 Attack: White-collar terrorists conducted a trial explosion in Faridabad over a year before to the October 10, 2011, suicide assault near Delhi’s Red Fort, according to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The Dhauj crusher zone, a few kilometers from Al-Falah University, was specifically selected for the test detonation in order to conceal the explosion’s sound among loud industrial noise.

Discovery While Reenacting a Scene
A combined Delhi Police and NIA team recently escorted suspects Dr. Muzammil and Dr. Shaheen to the crusher zone as part of a scene reconstruction. Investigators recovered pieces of a broken steel pipe from the site after the two pinpointed the precise location of the experimental explosion.
Ammonium nitrate and other chemicals that were stored within the steel conduit were used to carry out the explosion, according to NIA sources. According to the CIA, the explosive powder was made at Al-Falah University in 2024 by Drs. Muzammil, Shaheen, and Umar Nabi, who subsequently perished in the suicide assault. When the concoction was prepared, the three devised a test to see how devastating it may be.
Look for a Secure Area
Dr. Shaheen said under questioning that the team spent days looking for an appropriate and remote spot. Dr. Umar told the others one evening that he had found a place to be secure. After that, the three visited the Dhauj crusher zone. Under the guise of visiting the Aravalli hills, they traveled there on the day of the trial, filled a steel pipe with the explosive substance, set it up against a rock, and set it off. A portion of the rock was broken by the explosion, and the pipe split in two.
The accused told their handlers upon their return to the university campus after the successful trial.
Reasons for Selecting the Crusher Zone
More than 300 heavy equipment and more than 100 stone crushers are located in the Faridabad Dhauj crusher zone, which is utilized for crushing, grinding, and cleaning stones. These devices make very loud noises while they are in action. According to investigators, the terrorists deliberately chose the location in order to muffle the sound of the explosion, a goal that was accomplished.
The Union Home Minister Requests Clarification
The Haryana Police and intelligence services have allegedly been called egregiously careless by the NIA in the wake of these disclosures. According to sources, the Union Home Ministry may ask officials from the Intelligence Bureau, the Haryana Home Department, and the Director General of Police at the time for answers. The Prime Minister’s Office will also be informed of any new information gleaned from the investigation.
The fact that the terrorists had been preparing attacks in Faridabad for a long time and had even carried out a trial explosion while the nation’s security system was in the dark has been taken seriously by the Home Ministry.
