Delhi-Agra Expressway: Accident Vehicles Catch Fire in Mathura Amid Fog, Leaving 4 Dead and 25 Injured
Delhi-Agra Expressway: Due to heavy fog, many automobiles collided on the Delhi-Agra Expressway in the Mathura region of Uttar Pradesh in the early hours of Tuesday, December 16, causing them to explode into flames, leaving at least one person dead and 25 others wounded.

At approximately two in the morning, many vehicles, including automobiles and buses, collided on the Delhi-Agra Expressway in Mathura district on the Agra-Noida section of the Yamuna Expressway.
An eyewitness informed the news agency ANI that a collision caused perhaps three or four buses to catch fire. “When the accident happened, I was asleep. Everyone was on the bus. Every seat was occupied. Around four in the morning, the disaster happened,” he said.
According to Suresh Chandra Rawat, SP Mathura Rural, the accident happened close to Milestone 127 on the Agra-Noida section of the motorway. He attested to the fact that they were struck by seven busses and at least three vehicles. Six sleeper buses and one UP Roadways bus are on the bus.
“There are eleven firemen on the scene. The fire has finally been contained after all of the buses caught fire. So far, four corpses have been found. “Rescue efforts are in progress,” Rawat told the news agency ANI.
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, saw the event right away and sent the rescue squad to the spot to conduct rescue operations. He has ordered the utmost care to be provided to the wounded.
The relatives of the deceased were given an ex-gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh apiece by the Uttar Pradesh government. In order to prevent such tragedies in the future, he has also directed that cars be driven at a slower pace when visibility is poor.
