Trump: asserts once again that the Indo-Pak May issue has been resolved
Trump: On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump once again said that he had prevented the May confrontation between India and Pakistan.

During his economic speech in Pennsylvania, Trump claimed to have halted eight wars during his ten months in office.
“I put a stop to eight conflicts in ten months, including those in India, Pakistan, and Kosovo-Serbia. They were fighting. Egypt and Ethiopia, Israel and Iran. Azerbaijan and Armenia. I regret to inform you that Thailand and Cambodia began operations today. I have to call someone tomorrow. I’m going to call and put an end to a conflict between Thailand and Cambodia, two very strong nations. They’re fighting once again. I’ll do it, however. Thus, we’re using power to bring about peace,” he said.
Trump reaffirmed earlier on November 19 that he ended eight conflicts while in office, including those involving Pakistan and India. The comments were made during a bilateral meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia in the Oval Office.
Crown Prince Mohammed was visiting Washington for the first time since Khashoggi’s murder in 2018.
“We’ve accomplished a great deal with this office. I have prevented eight wars. In fact, I’ve put an end to eight conflicts. Putin and I have another one to go. I’m a bit taken aback by Putin. It has taken more time than I anticipated. However, we halted Pakistan and India. I could review the list. I’m rather pleased. One was about ready to restart when I halted it. Therefore, whether they arrived in person or over the phone, everything happened right here in the Oval Office. At the Oval Office, Trump told reporters, “Many of these leaders have came in and signed their peace treaties.
India has refuted Trump’s repeated claims that he “settled” the crisis within 24 hours by using trade sanctions to prevent a possible full-scale war between Pakistan and India.
In response to the Pahalgam terror incident in Jammu and Kashmir that claimed 26 civilian lives, India launched Operation Sindoor, which resulted in precise attacks on Pakistani terror facilities in May of this year. The US President was alluding to the border confrontations that followed.
