Thai PM: According to the almost all target regions are under military control
Thai PM: According to Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, Thai troops have taken over almost all of the target regions and are currently forcing Cambodian soldiers to leave. The areas are being continuously watched to avoid any additional conflicts.

In an interview with Thai media in Surin province, Anutin stated that he has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to explain Thailand’s stance at the special meeting of ASEAN foreign ministers on Monday. He emphasized that Thailand is neither the aggressor nor in violation of any agreements, and that all measures taken are meant to protect national security and sovereignty, according to Xinhua news agency.
He went on to say that Thailand has always complied with international law and works to keep the situation under control without intensifying the conflict.
Thai Ministry of Defense spokesperson Surasant Kongsiri stated at a press conference on Sunday that 34 Thai civilians have died in the most recent round of the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia. He added that as the intensity of border clashes has gradually decreased, residents in some areas have started to return home, and the number of shelters has decreased.
Authorities in Aranyaprathet district issued an urgent notification for people to flee to safer regions on Sunday afternoon as Cambodian soldiers continued to shell border areas in Thailand’s Sa Kaeo province, according to Thai media sources.
A marine soldier was hurt earlier that day after walking on a landmine while on an operation in the Ban Nong Ri district of Trat province, according to a Royal Thai Navy official on Sunday.
According to the spokesman, this occurrence shows that the Cambodian side is still using landmines in the region, which is a major breach of international law.
