Pakistan: Asim Munir of received the highest civilian award in Saudi Arabia

 Pakistan: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Defense Forces, has received the King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellence, Saudi Arabia’s highest civilian honor.

Munir is in the Kingdom on an official visit right now.

“Under a Royal Decree issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellent Class, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s highest national honour was also conferred upon the Field Marshal,” the military said on Monday.

The Saudi government expressed gratitude for Field Marshal Asim Munir’s professionalism and strategic vision, highlighting his dedication to bolstering the two nations’ longtime, fraternal relationship.

Field Marshal Munir thanked the Saudi government and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the honor, saying it was a testament to the long-standing ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the Kingdom’s growth, security, and stability.

During his official tour to the Kingdom, Munir also paid a visit to Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Both parties discussed topics of mutual interest during the meeting, such as changing geopolitical challenges, defense and military cooperation, strategic partnership, and regional security dynamics.
