According to IRIB, the footage marks the first time such material featuring Mojtaba Khamenei has been made available to the public. In the clip, he appears in a classroom-like setting, speaking to students engaged in religious learning. The release comes at a time when attention on Iran’s leadership has intensified following recent political and military developments.

Leadership Change After Fatal Strike

Mojtaba Khamenei assumed the role of Supreme Leader after the death of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was reportedly killed in a US military strike on February 28 at the age of 86. The leadership transition occurred amid heightened tensions in the region.

In the same series of strikes, Iran also lost key figures including National Security Advisor Ali Larijani and Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib, according to reports. These developments have further contributed to uncertainty within Iran’s political structure.

Regional Tensions Continue to Rise

The ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel is now approaching its fourth week. Military activity and diplomatic exchanges have continued to shape the evolving situation across the Middle East.

Earlier, the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump to discuss the latest regional developments. The discussion reportedly focused on the broader implications of the conflict for global stability and security.

US Reaffirms Support for Regional Allies

During the call, both leaders reviewed what were described as repeated Iranian actions affecting civilian areas and infrastructure in several countries, including the UAE. These incidents were characterised as violations of sovereignty and international law.

President Trump condemned the reported attacks and reiterated Washington’s support for its regional partners. He emphasized the United States’ commitment to assisting allies in maintaining territorial security and stability.

Missile Activity Triggers Defence Response

Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for a new wave of strikes targeting areas in Israel, including Tel Aviv, as well as US military installations in the region. These claims were reported by Iranian-linked media outlets.

In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that missiles had been launched toward Israeli territory. Air defence systems were activated to intercept the incoming threats.

Authorities issued alerts to civilians in affected regions, urging them to seek shelter immediately. Emergency instructions were sent directly to mobile devices, advising residents to move to designated protected spaces and remain there until further notice.

Civilian Safety Measures Implemented

The IDF emphasized the importance of following official safety guidelines during the attacks. Residents were instructed not to leave shelters until they received clear authorization from authorities.

Officials stated that adherence to these directives plays a critical role in minimizing risk to civilian life. As tensions persist, emergency preparedness measures remain in place across impacted areas.

The situation in the region continues to evolve, with both military developments and diplomatic efforts influencing the broader geopolitical landscape.
