Vijay Sethupathi: “Kaattaan” gave me courage to do movies
Vijay Sethupathi: With the new series “Kaattaan,” acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi has discussed taking on the role of producer and said that the program gave him confidence in his ability to make movies.

“The series has really good writing. It discusses the meaning of life. Regarding “Kaattaan,” a gritty story about an intriguing protagonist, the National Award-winning actor said, “I really enjoyed doing this series.”
“The show instilled in me confidence in producing film, and has motivated me to do more,” the actor, who made his Hindi debut in the 2023 action-thriller Mumbaikar, said of his decision to become a producer.
Milind Soman plays a major part in the series, which is directed by M Manikandan. JioHotstar will broadcast it.
Vijay Sethupathi and director Manikandan, with whom he previously worked on films like Kadaisi Vivasayi and Aandavan Kattalai, have reunited in the series.
Prior to his first major role in Thenmerku Paruvakaatru in 2010, Vijay began his film career as a background actor and performed small supporting parts. He is now one of the most paid actors in Indian cinema. He became well-known in 2012 because to Sundarapandian, Pizza, and Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom.
With roles in films like Soodhu Kavvum, Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum, Iraivi, Vikram Vedha, ’96, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Petta, Master, Vikram, Jawan, and Maharaja, he went on to become a successful actor.
The 47-year-old celebrity recently appeared in Pandiraj’s romantic action comedy Thalaivan Thalaivii. Nithya Menen is also a star. It centers on two independent lovers who negotiate a tumultuous relationship in which conflict and desire converge, forging a powerful emotional connection along the way.
‘Arasan’, directed by Vetrimaaran, will be his next film. It is the 49th film in Silambarasan’s career and is set in the same world as Vada Chennai (2018).
