Karan Johar: As promised, on his 40th birthday, the filmmakers of Yash’s highly anticipated period gangster drama “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups” have released the first look at his character Raya.

Filmmaker Karan Johar couldn’t help but congratulate Yash on a fantastic birthday announcement after seeing the intense teaser.
KJo referred to the most recent preview of “Toxic” as “just kick ass.”
The filmmaker said, “WOW!!!!,” after reposting the footage on his Instagram Stories section. What a birthday announcement! This is just amazing! Happy birthday, @thenameisyash! (sic)”
The footage begins with a funeral service taking place in the eerie quiet of a cemetery.
The next scene shows Yash’s character having a private moment with a lady in a vehicle. These two are totally unaffected by the explosive that is put behind them.
Massive commotion results from the abrupt explosion and gunshots that interrupt the cemetery’s tranquility. With a Tommy gun in hand and a cigar in hand, Raya enters among the dead and smoke.
Yash captioned the photo, “RAYA Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups in cinemas worldwide on 19-03-2026.”
The initial looks of the main women, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria, were previously released by the producers to increase the excitement for the drama.
“Toxic,” which was written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, is said to tell the captivating story of crime and deceit in 1980s Goa. It will center on a strong drug gang that controls people’s lives behind the state’s beautiful beaches and lively culture.
Supported by Venkat K., the project was concurrently filmed in Kannada and English under the auspices of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several more languages were dubbed.The global theatrical premiere of “Toxic” is set on March 19, which also happens to be Gudi Padwa, Eid, and Ugadi.
