Day 8 Box Office Collection for Dhurandhar: New Releases Don’t Disturb Ranveer Singh-Aditya Dhar’s Spy Thriller Blockbuster
Day 8 Box Office Collection for Dhurandhar: Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, has already accomplished a significant milestone only eight days after it debuted in theaters. The espionage thriller became one of the fastest-grossing pictures in Ranveer Singh’s career when it surpassed the Rs 200 crore milestone in its first week of release. With positive reviews, crowded theaters, and increasing interest in its follow-up, the movie isn’t slowing down at all. With around Rs 239.25 crore in domestic box office receipts at the end of Day 8, Dhurandhar is poised to surpass the Rs 250 crore milestone in the days ahead.

Dhurandhar made almost Rs 32 crore on Day 8 (Friday), an amazing increase of about 18.5% over the day before, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. As a result, the movie has made a total of Rs 239.25 crore in India. On Friday, the movie’s total Hindi occupancy rate was 45.81 percent. With a modest 19.64 percent occupancy rate in the morning, foot traffic gradually increased during the day. The occupancy rate for afternoon concerts was 37.37%, evening shows increased to 53.08%, and night shows reached a high of 73.16%.
With these figures, Dhurandhar is poised to rank among Ranveer Singh’s highest-grossing movies to date. The movie’s lifetime earnings have already eclipsed those of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (Rs 153.55 crore) and Bajirao Mastani (Rs 184.3 crore). Simmba, which made Rs 240.3 crore throughout its theatrical run, is about to be surpassed by it. With Rs 302.15 crore, Padmaavat is still Ranveer’s top-earning movie, but Dhurandhar is catching up and may soon become his second-highest or perhaps highest-grossing picture if the trend continues.
About Dhurandhar: Narrative, Cast, and Release of Part Two
Set against actual political and historical events, Dhurandhar is a brutal espionage thriller. After the 1999 Kandahar hijack and the 2001 Parliament assault, Ranveer Singh portrays Hamza Ali, an undercover RAW agent sent to infiltrate Karachi’s perilous underworld. The story also makes reference to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, highlighting the tragedy’s emotional impact via actual audio recordings. During his assignment, Hamza encounters mobster Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna), Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal), a Pakistani ISI official, and police officer Aslam (Sanjay Dutt). Ajay Sanyal, the intelligence chief assisting Hamza’s clandestine activities, is portrayed by R. Madhavan.
Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun are among the film’s strong ensemble cast members. Aditya Dhar is the director, writer, and co-producer of Dhurandhar, which has received accolades for its powerful acting, compelling action, and politically charged narrative. The franchise seems set for even greater success in the future, with Dhurandhar Part 2 already confirmed for a March 19, 2026, theatrical release and a Netflix debut scheduled after its theatrical run.
