Visits to Sufi Shrines Across the City

The Chief Minister began his day in Phulwari Sharif at the well-known Khanqah Mujibiya. There, he met spiritual leader Syed Shah Ayatullah Qadri, exchanged greetings for the festival, and sought blessings. The visit was marked by a calm and respectful interaction with local followers.

He then moved to Khanqah-e-Munemia at Mittan Ghat in Patna City. During this stop, he met Syed Shah Shamimuddin Ahmed Munami. Together, they offered prayers for peace and prosperity in Bihar, reflecting the traditional importance of such visits during Eid.

Interaction with Devotees and Festive Traditions

Continuing his engagements, Kumar also visited Khanqah Bargah-e-Ishq, where he greeted Syed Shah Khwaja Amir Shahid. The Chief Minister spent time speaking with devotees, acknowledging the significance of the occasion for the community.

During these visits, he participated in customary Eid hospitality, including enjoying sewai and dry fruits. These gestures added a personal touch to his public appearances and reinforced the celebratory mood of the festival.

Message of Social Harmony

The visits collectively conveyed a clear emphasis on communal harmony. By engaging with multiple religious centers, Kumar underlined the importance of coexistence and mutual respect among different communities in the state.

Prayers offered at these khanqahs focused on peace, stability, and the welfare of Bihar’s residents. The Chief Minister’s presence at these sites was seen as a continuation of efforts to promote unity through cultural and religious engagement.

Absence from Gandhi Maidan Draws Attention

Despite his active schedule at religious sites, Kumar did not attend the traditional Eid prayer gathering at Gandhi Maidan this year. This marked a break from a pattern he has maintained since becoming Chief Minister in 2005, where he regularly participated in the large public congregation.

His absence became a point of discussion, particularly because of the significance of the Gandhi Maidan event in Patna’s Eid celebrations.

Nishant Kumar’s Presence Sparks Discussion

In place of the Chief Minister, his son Nishant Kumar attended the Gandhi Maidan gathering under tight security arrangements. His appearance attracted considerable attention from observers and political analysts alike.

While no official statement linked his presence to any political move, the development led to speculation about potential future roles within the state’s political framework. The situation added a layer of interest to an otherwise traditional festival observance.

Officials Accompany Chief Minister

Several senior leaders and officials accompanied Kumar during his visits. Among them were Rural Works Minister Ashok Choudhary, JD(U) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, MLA Shyam Rajak, MLC Sanjay Kumar Singh, District Magistrate Tyagarajan S.M., and Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya K. Sharma.

Their presence reflected the administrative and political importance attached to the Chief Minister’s engagements during the festival.

A Blend of Tradition and Political Interest

This year’s Eid celebrations in Bihar combined religious observance with subtle political developments. While Kumar’s visits to khanqahs reinforced messages of unity and cultural respect, his absence from Gandhi Maidan and his son’s presence there introduced a new element of public curiosity.

Overall, the day reflected both continuity in tradition and evolving dynamics within the state’s political environment.
