Bihar Transport: Here’s How the Bihar Transport Department’s Online Portal Can Help Address Incorrect E-Challans
Bihar Transport: Owners of vehicles that received inaccurate e-challans may now relax. Erroneous traffic penalties may now be canceled or amended online by the Transport Department, doing away with the requirement to physically visit government offices to make corrections.

The National Informatics Centre (NIC) has been directed to activate this online rectification facility, according to Transport Secretary Raj Kumar. The new digital method seeks to save time and lessen public inconvenience, although the offline mode will continue to be accessible for the time being.
The New System’s Operation
Applicants may file complaints about inaccurate e-challans straight from their desktops or mobile devices under the new system.
Where to Apply: echallan.parivahan.gov.in is the address where complaints may be sent.
Uploading papers: Users may submit required papers, including a copy of the challan, a picture of the car, and the vehicle registration certificate (RC), immediately.
Tracking: Applicants may also monitor the application’s current status using the site.
Processing Online Complaints First
The traffic police and enforcement units have been given tight orders by the Transport Department to handle online complaints as soon as possible. The following is the rectification workflow:
Investigation: The online complaint will be looked upon by enforcement agencies.
Correction: They will update the challan data if the mistake is confirmed.
Approval: The State Transport Commissioner will receive a recommendation.
Final Amendment: For the final update, the request is sent to the appropriate District Transport Officer.
Instead than waiting in line at transport offices, the government has urged all drivers to use this online service for a quicker resolution of difficulties.
