A 14-year-old student, residing in the hostel of a Scheduled Caste Residential Girls’ School in Hunterganj block, was found to be pregnant during a routine medical check-up, triggering shock and anger across the region.

As news of the incident spread, the girl’s family members rushed to the school premises and staged a protest.
