Closed-Door Executive Meeting in Vellore

The meeting will take place at Kollamangalam in Vellore district between 12 noon and 3 p.m. According to party officials, nearly 4,900 executive members have been cleared to attend the session. The event has been structured as a restricted meeting, allowing entry only to designated office bearers.

Organisers have adopted a digital verification process to regulate attendance. Special entry passes embedded with QR codes have been issued to approved participants. Party representatives explained that this system is intended to maintain order at the venue, prevent overcrowding, and ensure that only authorised members are present during the discussions.

Safety Guidelines and Attendance Restrictions

In a statement, TVK General Secretary N. Anand said the party had decided not to issue entry passes to certain groups due to safety concerns. Pregnant women, children, school students, elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and those with existing medical conditions have been advised to avoid attending the meeting.

He emphasised that the restrictions are precautionary and not discriminatory. The decision follows an incident at a recent party programme in Erode, where a participant reportedly collapsed and later passed away. The episode prompted the leadership to review safety standards for large gatherings.

To address potential risks, organisers have installed a wide overhead canopy at the Vellore venue to reduce exposure to heat during the three-hour event. Additional arrangements, including first-aid facilities and medical personnel on standby, have also been made to respond quickly in case of emergencies.

Heightened Security as Campaign Vehicle Arrives

Vijay’s campaign vehicle reached Vellore late on Sunday night under close security supervision. Police presence was visible along key stretches as the vehicle made its way into the district.

Supporters gathered in small numbers at various points along the route, hoping to catch a glimpse of the party chief. While the meeting itself is limited to executives, the visible enthusiasm among cadres suggests strong anticipation surrounding the address.

Focus on Organisational Strength Ahead of 2026 Polls

The Vellore session comes soon after a similar high-level engagement in Salem, reflecting the party’s increased organisational activity ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections. Sources within the party indicate that discussions are expected to centre on reinforcing booth-level committees, evaluating campaign preparedness, and coordinating district-level leadership efforts.

The leadership is believed to be using these executive meetings as platforms to consolidate internal structures and sharpen electoral planning. By bringing together office bearers from across the district, the party aims to streamline communication and ensure uniform implementation of strategies.

Expectations from Vijay’s Address

With preparations complete and attendance tightly regulated, attention now turns to Vijay’s speech. Party members anticipate that he will outline the roadmap for the next phase of mobilisation, particularly in northern Tamil Nadu.

Observers note that such district-level executive meetings are becoming a key feature of the party’s outreach and organisational consolidation. The Vellore gathering is expected to provide clarity on campaign direction while reinforcing unity among senior functionaries.

As the political landscape gradually shifts toward election mode, the meeting is likely to play a significant role in shaping Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam’s strategy in the months ahead.
