Iranian: Amid widespread demonstrations Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, who is exiled, bemoans a statewide internet outage

Iranian : Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, who is now in exile, denounced the Iranian regime on Friday for closing down all communication channels, including the internet, and even trying to jam satellite signals in the midst of the country’s recent rallies. Additionally, he urged all European leaders to “support the people of Iran” and “hold the regime to account,” as President Donald Trump has done.

He hailed US President Donald Trump in a post on X for his pledge to make the Iranian government responsible and urged European countries to do the same.

He asked that be used “all technical, financial, and diplomatic resources available to restore communication to the Iranian people so that their voice and their will can be heard and seen.”Tonight, millions of Iranians called for their liberation. The Iranian leadership has responded by cutting off all contact. The Internet has been turned off. Landlines have been terminated. It could even try to interfere with satellite communications. I would want to express my gratitude to President Trump, the leader of the free world, for restating his commitment to hold the dictatorship accountable. It’s time for others to follow his example, speak out, and take more concrete action in favor of the Iranian people, especially European politicians. I urge them to make use of every technological, financial, and diplomatic tool at their disposal to reestablish connection with the Iranian people so that their will and voice may be heard. “Don’t allow my brave countrymen’s voices to be muffled,” Pahlavi said on X.

According to the Times of Israel, which cited witnesses, thousands of people demonstrated in the Iranian capital on Thursday night, and immediately after the demonstrations, Iranian phone lines and internet access were shut off.

According to witnesses, Iran’s exiled crown prince Reza Pahlavi called for a large-scale protest, which sparked the country’s demonstrations, according to the Times of Israel.

US Vice President JD Vance reaffirmed support for the Iranian people earlier on Thursday, stating that the US supports everyone participating in nonviolent rallies and attempting to exercise their right to free association.

According to JD Vance, “We definitely support anybody participating in nonviolent demonstrations, attempting to exercise their rights to free association, and having their opinions heard. It’s clear that the Iranian regime has a lot of issues, and as the US president has stated, the best course of action for them to take was to engage in genuine negotiations with the US about what we need to see regarding their nuclear program. This was true both two months ago and today. I’ll give the President the opportunity to discuss our future plans, but we undoubtedly support anybody fighting for their rights, including the Iranian people.

This comes as Iranians continue to demonstrate against economic hardship and price increases, swarming the streets of several Iranian regions. According to CNN, some of these rallies have turned into clashes with security personnel.
