A Zepto delivery agent released a video alleging that one of his colleagues, a rider, had been attacked during a regular delivery, sparking the controversy. In the video, the rider describes how a client reportedly abuses and assaults his teammate because of a delivery problem. In a rage, a number of delivery partners swiftly banded together and headed to the client’s place.
The gang is shown coming at the scene and interrogating a guy who seems to be the business owner in an open manner as the video progresses. The riders approach him, accusing him of mistreating their comrade and demanding an explanation. However, the guy presents another account of what transpired. “It was all a misunderstanding,” he says. He claims that despite the location being plainly apparent, the delivery person claimed he couldn’t locate it, which sparked annoyance and an argument.
“Guys, this is my colleague, and he was assaulted by a store owner while he was on his way to a delivery,” the rider adds as he records everything.
