Viral khabar: A wedding ceremony was the site of a terrible incident in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba region earlier this month. Many people were hurt when the roof fell as a group of guests were enjoying the wedding. The event was captured on video. A footage of the moment when the roof collapsed has been making the rounds on X, previously Twitter.
Shahwa hamlet, which is a part of the Jungra Gram Panchayat in the Churah assembly constituency, is where the event took place. The roof collapsed, injuring at least 20 people.

A jatra, or traditional cultural show, was being held during the wedding ceremony, according to an India Today article. For the occasion, around 100 people were on the roof.
The social media video, which has gone viral, shows the guests singing and dancing together until the mud ceiling abruptly collapsed, shocking everyone.
A Dainik Jagran article states that the mud ceiling fell due to the weight of the occupants. There were perhaps twenty-five persons trapped in the rubble.
Rescue Activities Began
Locals raced to assist those caught in the roof fall as soon as possible. For medical attention, the wounded were brought to Teesa Hospital. Soon after getting the information, an administrative team arrived at the location, Chamba Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal said Dainik Jagran.
The majority of the captive guests merely suffered minor wounds. Three persons, who were critically hurt, were transferred to the Medical College and Hospital in Chamba.
As soon as he heard about the roof fall, Hans Raj, a local MLA, came to the spot and assessed the situation. Later, he went to Teesa Hospital to see how the wounded were doing and urged the staff to make sure they were getting the right care.
Authorities Looking Into the Matter
As per reports, an inquiry has been begun into the situation. To determine what caused the collapse, authorities can examine the building’s construction.

The bride, groom, and more than a dozen guests were thrown to the ground when the stage, which was crowded with prominent BJP politicians, abruptly collapsed at a wedding in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh.
The incident took place during the brother of BJP politician Abhishek Singh Engineer’s reception on November 26 at Ramlila Ground. There were no reports of significant injuries.
