Gurgaon Woman Viral Video: A Rapido driver threatens a woman in Gurugram late at night in a video that goes viral, asking, “Tere B**p Ki Gadi Hain?”

Gurgaon Woman Viral Video: For a lady in Gurugram, what was meant to be a normal late-night commute home from work became a terrifying event. The lady said in a social media video that on December 15, she had reserved a Rapido taxi to go home from work. She was talking on the phone when the driver began playing loud music. She gently requested that he turn down the level since she was disturbed, but he disregarded her. The situation deteriorated even after she made her plea many times.

When the driver abruptly stopped the vehicle in the middle and said, “Tere b**p ki gaadi hai?” and sternly requested her to get out, the situation took a frightening turn. According to the lady, she wouldn’t leave until a different transport was set up for her safety. This infuriated the motorist, who resumed driving. He eventually stopped, got out of the car, and reportedly threatened her after being asked many times.

The lady later made a police call. However, she said that the police attempted to persuade her not to file a formal complaint rather than acting right away. In spite of this, she proceeded to submit the complaint and thereafter said that she intended to bring the case before the District Court. She conveyed a powerful message to other women at the conclusion of the video, asking them to speak out for themselves and not remain quiet in similar circumstances.

The Instagram user “stargirl_on_the_go” posted a video with the statement, “Respect women or face consequences.” This voice belongs to all the women who were compelled to remain quiet, not just me. Jooti nahi hoti aurat kisi ki paer ki. I’ll take this legal matter head-on and make sure he gets a lesson in life.”

The video has received more than 14 million views since it was posted two days ago. While some users once again voiced worries about women’s safety in the nation, many others crowded the comments section, identifying Rapido and calling for severe retribution.

Rapido also made a public response when the video went viral. Rapido said in their remark, “Hey Komal, We attempted to contact you many times after our conversation at 2:00 PM, which regrettably ended, but the calls either went to voicemail or were unreachable. We want to reassure you that the captain in question will never be allowed to ride with Rapido again and has been permanently blacklisted from our platform. We are aware that you have already made a formal complaint, and as previously said, we support you and will work closely with the relevant authorities while offering full legal assistance. If you need any more help or support, don’t hesitate to DM us at any moment.

An essential discussion about safety, responsibility, and the need for more robust response when women speak forward has been rekindled as the story continues to circulate online.
