Uttar Pradesh Tragedy: Gas Geyser Suffocation in Pilibhit Leads to the Death of a Couple in the Bathroom
Uttar Pradesh Tragedy: Due to a shortage of oxygen, a couple tragically perished in the restroom. The Gurukul Puram Colony in the Kotwali neighborhood of Pilibhit is where this tragedy took place. According to preliminary investigations, it is thought that the gas geyser’s usage resulted in a shortage of oxygen in the restroom, which led them to suffocate. The late Harjinder Singh and his spouse, Renu, leased a home. Renu was involved in a motorbike accident and suffered a shattered hand.

Harjinder Singh had left clothing on the roof to dry on Sunday. Anshu Joshi, the landlord, phoned him when the clothing stayed there till nightfall, but no one picked up. His suspicions were aroused when he attempted to contact Renu but her phone was unresponsive as well. He glanced inside the room, but nobody was there. Despite many calls, no one answered, and the restroom door was shut from the inside. Then he noticed the corpses in the bathroom through a hole in the door. He called the cops right away. On Sunday night around 11 PM, police busted down the bathroom door and retrieved the remains after receiving a tip from neighbors. After taking a video, the cops took the corpses away. Harjinder Singh was completely dressed, including his shoes and socks, but Renu was naked.
Jagran claims that Kotwali Inspector Satyendra Singh said that the restroom lacked a window. He thinks that the couple’s usage of the gas geyser in the confined bathroom deprived them of oxygen, which led to their unconsciousness and eventual asphyxia death. The post-mortem study will reveal the precise cause of death.
