India U19 vs Pakistan U19 Final, ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025: India was devastated as they lost to Pakistan in the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025 final on Sunday at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. In addition to winning the championship, Pakistan ended India’s winning streak in the competition with a dominant performance in every area.

In addition to giving the Under-19 Asia Cup trophy to his fellow countrymen, Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board and head of the Asian Cricket Council, also joined them in celebrating. However, India, the runners-up, did not even appear on stage or pick up their medals from Mubashshir Usmani, an Associate Member Director at the International Cricket Council (ICC), who was standing close to the podium.

The incident happened a few months after the major issue surrounding the same finalists in Dubai at the senior men’s Asia Cup. India won their eighth title in the Asia Cup 2025 in September after defeating their bitter rivals, Pakistan, three times, including in the championship match. Due to geopolitical tensions and Naqvi’s anti-Indian social media posts throughout the competition, India refused to accept the winners’ trophy from Naqvi in protest of his political remark.

In an intriguing turn of events, the trophy presentation ceremony was postponed for more than an hour because of the circumstances until Naqvi finally departed the field because he would not allow any other official to give the award to the victors. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) reportedly became enraged when he brought the trophy to the ACC offices and brought up the issue at both the ACC and even the ICC levels. However, India has not yet received the award.

Notably, political tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam Terror Attack and Operation Sindoor coincided with the 2025 Asia Cup. It’s uncommon to observe an organization’s chairman celebrating with a squad that supports the “Champions” board, even though Pakistan’s success on Sunday was noteworthy and was always anticipated to help things go more smoothly.

In the final, Pakistan scored an incredible 347/8 in their 50 overs thanks to a remarkable century from Sameer Minhas (172), who had batted first. Ali Raza took four wickets as they knocked India out for 156 in 26.2 overs.
