Vijay: will speak at a rally today in Erode, Tennessee, despite stringent crowd control measures
Vijay: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader Vijay will address a big campaign rally in Vijayamangalam in Tamil Nadu’s Erode district, on Thursday, marking his first significant public engagement in the state since the September 27 Karur tragedy.
Sengottaiyan, who was ousted from the AIADMK and just joined TVK, is hosting a politically crucial rally in his hometown from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Nearly 35,000 people are anticipated to attend the celebration near the Vijayamangalam toll booth on the Perundurai expressway. The ground has been split into 72 sections, each of which can hold around 400 people, in order to handle such a massive turnout. In order to manage the throng and guarantee safety, organizers have erected four tiers of barriers, leaving a 50-meter gap between Vijay’s campaign truck and the assembly.
The specially prepared campaign truck, arrived to the place late Wednesday night, is strengthened with iron sheets to prevent any breach by eager fans. Arrangements for the gathering demonstrate great preparation.
Twenty temporary drinking water tanks and twenty mobile restrooms have been put up across the stadium, and two lakh half-liter water bottles will be given to guests.
In addition to drone monitoring, 60 CCTV cameras have been erected to keep an eye on vehicle and crowd activity.
A group of 58 physicians and 14 ambulances are on ready to manage any medical crises as part of the preparations. Fourteen access and exit routes have been established to enable easy passage for both the public and volunteers.
A kilometer away from the rally area, parking facilities have been set up, with 20 acres designated for two-wheelers and 60 acres for four-wheelers.
A significant police presence has been deployed, with 1,797 people tasked to ensure peace and order at the arena.
TVK administrator Sengottaiyan examined the preparations ahead of the event to ensure everything was in order.
To aid with crowd management and attendance assistance, volunteers and supporters from Erode and the neighboring districts are anticipated to come early.
For Vijay and his supporters, the rally marks an opportunity to demonstrate political strength, particularly in western Tamil Nadu, as the party seeks to expand its influence.
The extent of the preparations highlights the event’s importance, which may be a significant step in solidifying TVK’s position ahead of next elections.
