UnionBudget – Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday described the Union Budget 2026–27 as a forward-looking document that sets a clear direction for strengthening India’s standing on the global stage. Addressing a press conference, he said the budget reflects long-term thinking and provides a structured path for India to remain a key global player in the years ahead.

Yadav noted that the budget has opened new avenues for growth across different sections of society. According to him, its provisions are designed to support inclusive development while encouraging innovation and economic expansion. He added that the budget gives fresh momentum to public aspirations by balancing welfare measures with policies aimed at future-ready sectors.
Budget aligned with vision of developed India
The Chief Minister said the budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the 2026–27 financial year aligns closely with the national objective of building a developed India. He highlighted that the proposals reflect careful planning to boost economic potential, strengthen global credibility, and ensure sustained progress.
Yadav pointed out that the budget places strong emphasis on social welfare, with targeted support for the poor, youth, farmers, and women. At the same time, it also focuses on emerging areas such as startups, innovation, and artificial intelligence. He said this balanced approach shows the government’s intent to address present needs while preparing the economy for future challenges.
Focus on startups, innovation, and new technologies
According to the Chief Minister, special attention given to startups and advanced technologies is one of the most notable features of the budget. He said initiatives aimed at promoting innovation and artificial intelligence will help create new opportunities for young entrepreneurs and skilled professionals.
Yadav added that these measures are expected to strengthen India’s innovation ecosystem and encourage research-driven growth. He said the phased implementation of budget initiatives ensures that benefits reach all regions and sections of society, allowing states to make progress based on their local strengths and available resources.
Industrial growth and MSME integration in Madhya Pradesh
Speaking about the state’s development priorities, Yadav said Madhya Pradesh has taken several steps to integrate micro, small, and medium enterprises with larger industrial units. He explained that the state is working to build stronger links between MSMEs, heavy industries, and smaller manufacturing units, particularly in industrial support sectors.
He said this strategy is designed to create a more connected and resilient industrial ecosystem. By strengthening supply chains and improving coordination among different types of industries, the state aims to enhance productivity and competitiveness while generating employment opportunities.
Emphasis on ease of doing business and infrastructure
The Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of creating a business-friendly environment. He said the development model being followed places strong emphasis on ease of doing business, which is clearly supported by the budget’s provisions.
According to Yadav, policy support for industries, MSMEs, modern infrastructure development, and financial assistance will help accelerate industrial investment in Madhya Pradesh. He said these measures are expected to expand production capacity and create new jobs, contributing to balanced regional growth and long-term economic stability.
Budget presentation in Parliament
The Union Budget 2026–27 was presented in the Lok Sabha earlier this week by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. This marked her ninth consecutive budget presentation, reflecting continuity in fiscal planning and policy direction.
Yadav concluded by saying that the budget’s development-oriented framework has the potential to inspire confidence among youth and businesses alike. He said that with effective implementation, the measures outlined in the budget can support rapid and sustainable economic growth while ensuring equal opportunities for families and regions across the country.
