Road Accident – Six Killed in Highway Crash in Dausa District

Road Accident – A devastating road accident late Tuesday night on National Highway-21 in Rajasthan’s Dausa district has left six people dead after a car and a trailer truck collided head-on near Kailai village. The impact was so severe that all occupants of the Swift Desire car sustained critical injuries, leading to fatalities despite medical intervention.

Collision on National Highway-21

The accident occurred within the jurisdiction of Sikandra police station. According to initial information, the car was traveling along the highway when it crashed directly into an oncoming trailer. The force of the collision caused extensive damage to the vehicle, triggering panic and confusion at the scene as local residents and passersby rushed to help.

Emergency services were alerted immediately, and the injured were transported to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment. Authorities have yet to confirm the exact cause of the crash, but an investigation is currently underway.

Victims Identified at Sikandra Hospital

Six individuals were reportedly injured in the incident. Four of them were taken to Sikandra Hospital, where doctors declared them dead on arrival. The deceased were identified as Lokesh, son of Govardhan Yogi; Dilkhush, son of Banwari Yogi; Manish, son of Harimohan Yogi; and Ankit, son of Lalaram Bairwa. All four were residents of Kalakhoh village.

Medical staff confirmed that the injuries sustained in the collision were critical and left little scope for survival. The sudden loss has left the local community in mourning, as the victims belonged to the same village.

Two Referred to Dausa and Jaipur

The remaining two injured individuals were initially provided first aid and then referred to Dausa District Hospital due to the seriousness of their condition. Dr. Vinod Meena, the duty officer at the hospital, stated that both patients were brought in with severe trauma.

One of them, identified as Samay, son of Ram Singh Yogi from Kalakhoh, was declared dead after medical examination. The second injured person, Naveen, son of Mahesh Yogi, was referred to Jaipur for advanced treatment because of his critical state.

Despite efforts by doctors in Jaipur, Naveen later succumbed to his injuries during treatment. With his death, the toll from the accident rose to six.

Hospital Authorities Confirm Details

Dr. Vinod Meena confirmed that the hospital received two critically injured patients from the highway accident near Kailai. After examination, one was pronounced dead, while the other was transferred to Jaipur in view of his deteriorating condition. Hospital authorities subsequently moved the deceased to the mortuary and informed the families.

The bodies of the victims have been kept for post-mortem examination, and procedures are being carried out in accordance with legal protocols.

Police Begin Investigation

Police personnel reached the accident site shortly after receiving information about the crash. Officers secured the area and began collecting evidence to determine how the collision occurred. Preliminary assessments suggest a head-on impact, but officials have not ruled out factors such as speeding or driver error.

The Sikandra police have registered a case and initiated a detailed investigation. Statements from witnesses and vehicle inspections are expected to provide further clarity in the coming days.

The tragic incident has once again highlighted concerns over road safety on busy highways, particularly during nighttime travel. Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent similar accidents.
