The Delhi Police named Chib as the alleged “main conspirator” behind the protest staged at the high-profile summit and added rioting charges against him and seven other Youth Congress members who were detained earlier. Authorities claim the demonstration disrupted proceedings at the venue.
The protest took place inside Hall No. 5 of the summit complex, where a group of Youth Congress workers removed their shirts to reveal T-shirts carrying slogans critical of the central government and the proposed India–US interim trade agreement.
