Nitin Nabin in Assam: To fix problems rather than merely win elections, the BJP turns to the people
Nitin Nabin in Assam: During his visit to Assam on Friday, Nitin Nabin, the Working National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, said that the party’s goal is to serve the people and address their issues rather than just win elections.

“We do not go among the people just to win elections, we go to solve the problems of the people,” Nabin, who is well-known for being approachable by the public and party members, said in an address to BJP workers on his first trip to the state after taking office as Working National President.
The development of the North East is essential to the development of Bharat overall and is at the heart of the goal of attaining Viksit Bharat (Developed India), he said, reiterating the party’s commitment to accelerating development in Assam and other North-Eastern states in accordance with the vision of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji had stated that if the development of the country has to reach new heights, then the development of the North-East will have to be given priority first,” Nabin added, referencing Vajpayee’s vision and Modi’s purpose.
He encouraged party cadres by saying, “Aaj ham log jo bhi mukam par hai yahan, aap sabhi karyakartao ke mehnat aur dedication se hai” (whatever position the party has achieved today is due to the hard work and dedication of its workers), attributing the BJP’s success in Assam and other states to the commitment of its workers.
According to a senior party source, the BJP Working National President further emphasized that the development of the Northeast represents the growth of India and pointed out that the BJP has always supported the advancement of the area.
He said that Prime Minister Modi has continued this tradition with the motto “Sabka Vikas, Sabka Saath, Sabka Prayas,” while Vajpayee was the first to go to Assam and spend the night there, showcasing his dedication to the area.
Nabin, who is regarded as the party’s youngest Working National President and a skilled political strategist, is also a harsh taskmaster who has won elections while leading states like Chhattisgarh.
He led the Core Committee meeting, attended the BJP Assam State Executive meeting in Guwahati, and spoke about getting ready for the next Assembly elections while in Assam.
He gave party leaders a thorough organizational strategy and emphasized NDA social programs, like as direct cash transfers.
Party members, headed by State BJP president Dilip Saikia, gave him a hearty greeting on the occasion. A rally was held from Guwahati Airport to Maa Kamakhya and Srimanta Sankardev.
