Mumbai: The kitchen of Colaba Social Bar and Restaurant catches fire, injuring two people

Mumbai: On Sunday afternoon, December 21, a fire started in the kitchen of a hotel in south Mumbai, injuring two persons. The incident happened at the Colaba Social Bar and Restaurant, which is situated behind the Taj Hotel on Boman Beharam Marg, at around 4:30 p.m.

The hotel’s kitchen, which was housed in the basement of a five-story structure, caught fire. By 4:56 p.m., the fire department had contained the fire after sending a crew to the scene.

The collision resulted in injuries to two people. The other casualty, Subrat Barai (35), was brought to Saint George Hospital with 15% burns, while Sunil Singh (28), who had 5% burns, was discharged against medical advice. According to authorities, Barai is in a stable condition and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
