Anmol Raj Arora, Lucky Santosh Verma, Himanshu Yogesh Kumar, and Dipali Vinod Singh are the names of the detained suspects. A local judge remanded all four of them to police custody after their arrest. While Lucky Verma lives in the Madh neighborhood of Malad, Anmol, Himanshu, and Dipali are inhabitants of Versova village in Andheri. Each of the four is an aspiring actor who was having trouble landing a job in Bollywood. According to police investigations, they tried to earn fast money by committing the crime.

The complainant, a 37-year-old entrepreneur, has his own company and resides in Malad with his family. He was at home on Monday between 10.30 and 11 a.m. when he got a call from an unidentified individual claiming to have recordings of him in the nude. If the complainant didn’t pay ₹9 lakh, the caller threatened to let the tapes go public on social media. The complainant was startled when the accused gave him the naked footage over WhatsApp shortly after.

The complainant was then called by someone else using a new telephone number, and they persisted in using identical threats to blackmail him. The accused increased the pressure to pay the extortion money by sending him the recordings on Instagram as well.

The accused reportedly emailed the pornographic movies to the complainant’s nephew and a coworker at this time. Then they phoned the complainant once again, demanding the extortion money and threatening to make the tapes public in order to discredit him if the money was not paid. The complainant consented to pay the money under duress, but he lowered the amount from ₹9 lakh to ₹6 lakh.

The complainant then went to Senior Police Inspector Dushyant Chavan and told him about what had happened. Chavan took the report seriously and instructed the criminal section to look into it. The police filed a case against unidentified individuals on the basis of the complaint, alleging extortion, blackmail, and violations of the Information Technology Act.

The complainant summoned the accused to Goregaon to collect the extortion money after the case was registered and in accordance with police orders. All four of the accused showed up as scheduled in Siddharth Nagar, which is near Vivek College in Goregaon, when the police took them into custody.

It was discovered after questioning that the complainant knew all four of the defendants and that Anmol Arora was his buddy. During their frequent parties, Anmol reportedly took naked films of the complaint. Anmol reportedly planned to use the recordings to blackmail the wealthy businessman and enlisted the aid of the other three defendants.

The suspects also decided to divide the extortion money among themselves, according to police, with Dipali Singh receiving ₹20,000 as her commission. But their scheme failed, and they were taken into custody. The cops are still looking into the matter further.
