Pune-Mumbai Expressway: A serious road accident was reported on Friday evening around 4:30 PM near Gahunje on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, after a Mercedes car crashed into a stationary trailer. The collision left three passengers injured, all of whom were traveling in the same vehicle. The incident caused brief concern among commuters, though traffic movement was later restored. As of late Friday night, no formal police case had been registered in connection with the accident.

According to preliminary information shared by the police, the Mercedes car was heading towards Mumbai when the accident occurred. As the vehicle passed the area near Symbiosis College in Gahunje, it rammed into a trailer that was reportedly parked on the side of the expressway. The impact was severe, resulting in extensive damage to the front portion of the luxury car.
Condition Of The Injured Passengers
The injured passengers have been identified as Akash Dinanath Singh aged 23, Sarika Suryakant Tapkir aged 44, and Prashita Walke aged 24. All three individuals are residents of Chandkhed. Following the accident, they were immediately shifted to a private medical facility near Somatane Phata for urgent treatment. Later, they were admitted to Pavana Hospital, where doctors are currently monitoring their condition.

Police officials stated that despite the intensity of the collision, the injured passengers sustained only minor injuries. Hospital sources also confirmed that the condition of all three patients is stable and there is no immediate threat to their lives. They continue to receive medical care as a precautionary measure.
