Marriage Fraud – Bittu Bajrangi Alleges ₹30,000 Wedding Scam
Marriage Fraud – Cow vigilante Bittu Bajrangi has alleged that he was cheated of ₹30,000 by individuals who promised to arrange his marriage, prompting police to register a case and begin an investigation. Officials confirmed on Friday that a First Information Report has been filed following a complaint submitted by Bajrangi.

Complaint Filed at Local Police Station
According to police sources, the case has been registered at Saran police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. A senior officer stated that the accused, identified as Bunty, Rani, and others, are being investigated for allegedly deceiving Bajrangi on the pretext of fixing his marriage.
Bajrang Dal member Bittu Bajrangi, who was also named in connection with the 2023 communal violence in Nuh, approached the police after the wedding arrangements reportedly collapsed under suspicious circumstances.
Allegations of Marriage Arrangement Deception
In his complaint, Bajrangi said he had informed Bunty, described as a relative of his neighbour, about his intention to get married. He reportedly requested Bunty to notify him if he came across a suitable match.
Soon after, Bunty introduced him to a woman identified as Rani. Bajrangi alleged that the duo invited him to Aligarh on three separate occasions to meet prospective brides. However, he declined the proposals presented during those visits.
The situation took a different turn when Bunty later sent him a photograph of another young woman. Bajrangi claimed that he expressed interest in this match.
Wedding Date Fixed, Money Transferred
As per the complaint, on September 5, 2025, Bunty and Rani allegedly visited Bajrangi’s residence along with the woman and her family members. During the meeting, discussions were held and the wedding was reportedly scheduled for February 7.
Bajrangi stated that he was instructed to transfer ₹30,000 to help purchase clothes for the bride-to-be. On February 6, a day before the proposed ceremony, he transferred the amount as requested.
Wedding Party Returns Without Ceremony
According to Bajrangi’s statement, he later travelled to Aligarh with members of his wedding procession on the appointed date. Upon arrival, he found that the accused individuals were unreachable and their mobile phones were switched off.
In his complaint, Bajrangi said that when he contacted the number of the woman who was presented as the bride, she denied any knowledge of the planned wedding. As a result, the wedding procession reportedly returned without the ceremony taking place.
Investigation Underway
Police officials confirmed that the matter is being examined and statements are being recorded. Authorities have not yet disclosed further details about the whereabouts of the accused.
The case highlights concerns around alleged marriage-related fraud and the importance of verification in personal arrangements. Officials have urged individuals to exercise caution and report suspicious activities to law enforcement agencies promptly.
Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
