Kashmir Weather: Pulwama, Srinagar, Experiences Below-Freezing Temperatures Due to a Severe Cold Wave | IMD Forecast
Kashmir Weather: Officials said on Tuesday that most locations in the valley recorded below-average nighttime temperatures as the mercury dipped below the freezing threshold across Kashmir.

According to authorities, Monday night’s low temperature in Srinagar was – 3.7 degrees Celsius, down from minus 2.4 degrees the night before. The city’s nighttime temperature was 3.1 degrees below average.
According to authorities, the minimum temperature in south Kashmir’s Kokernag was minus 0.5 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperatures were recorded at minus 3.6 degrees Celsius in Qazigund, the valley’s gateway town, in south Kashmir, and Kupwara, in the north.
According to them, Pulwama town recorded minus 5.1 degrees Celsius, the coldest recorded location in Jammu and Kashmir, while Gulmarg recorded minus 2.5 degrees Celsius. Pahalgam, the base camp for the yearly Amarnath Yatra, recorded a low of minus 4.8 degrees Celsius.
The weather is expected to be mostly dry until December 12, according to the meteorological authority. Over the course of a few days starting on December 13, there is a chance that isolated areas in the upper regions of Kashmir could see light rain or snow.
Kashmiris are getting ready for the severe 40-day winter season that begins on December 21.
