Himachal Pradesh Weather: IMD Issues Tourist Advice Due to Expected Snowfall in Manali and Shimla Over the Weekend
Himachal Pradesh Weather: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), snow is expected to fall in a number of Himachal Pradesh districts in the coming days. It said that transportation flow in a number of districts, including Mandi, Sundernagar, Una, and Bilaspur, is being impacted by the presence of thick fog in the morning. The meteorological service said that there is a chance of light rain in certain areas, which would cause the temperature to dip. On Friday, thousands of visitors flocked to many major cities to see the snowfall, causing traffic jams. In order to prevent any problems, the IMD has recommended commuters to adhere to the rules and arrange their journey appropriately.

The meteorological service said that for the next several days, light snowfall is predicted in the upper peaks of Lahaul-Spiti, Kullu, Kangra, Mandi, and Shimla. It said that a cold wave and some light rain are also anticipated in these areas. Shimla’s lowest temperature is predicted to stay at 12.2 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature is probably going to be 18.2 degrees Celsius.
Other cities, such as Sundernagar, Dharamshala, Una, and Nahan, are anticipated to see minimum temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius. Due to the thick fog in the northern regions, trains from Delhi and other states are arriving in Una late. The fast train from Indore reached Una station at 12:24 PM, over two hours and forty-five minutes late, according to the railways.
In addition, the Delhi-bound Vande Bharat Express was around an hour and a half late. In addition to Himachal Pradesh, the meteorological service said that snow is expected to fall in a number of areas in Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand in the coming days.
