Delhi RC Transfer Alert:  Recently, the Delhi government released new regulations for the state’s used automobile traders. It is now required by the government to transfer ownership of used cars within 15 days. Here, let’s examine Delhi’s new RC transfer regulations.

Delhi RC Transfer: The Need to Modify the Rules
Weeks after a used car was suspected of being implicated in the Red Fort explosion in Delhi on November 10, 2025, the Delhi government modified the regulations governing RC transfers. Existing regulations must be amended as a result of the investigation’s discovery of flaws in the vehicle involved in the explosion’s traceability. It was challenging to look into the issue since the car involved in the explosion was registered in Delhi but had been sold many times without new documents.

Delhi RC Transfer: Police Intervention
In addition to requiring all used car dealers to register, the Delhi government has mandated that both used car purchasers and sellers transfer ownership of their vehicles within 15 days. The Delhi Police may file a lawsuit against anybody who does not transfer ownership of the car within 15 days.
