Delhi Hit-And-Run: A heartbreaking road accident near the MCD toll plaza on the Narela-Singhu Border road resulted in the death of two young men and left another seriously injured. The incident took place at around 8:30 pm when an unidentified vehicle allegedly struck the motorcycle on which the three youths were traveling. After hitting the bike, the vehicle reportedly fled the scene, leaving the victims severely injured on the roadside. The accident has once again raised concerns about road safety, reckless driving, and hit and run cases in the region.

Incident Location and Initial Discovery
The accident occurred on a busy stretch of road near the MCD toll area, a zone known for frequent vehicular movement, especially during evening hours. The victims were not immediately attended to after the collision, which worsened the severity of the situation. They were eventually discovered by Sanjay, a driver operating a CAT ambulance who was passing through the area on his way toward the Singhu Border.
Upon noticing three injured young men lying near a damaged motorcycle, Sanjay acted swiftly and responsibly. Understanding the urgency of the situation, he immediately transported all three victims to Satyawadi Raja Harishchandra Hospital in Narela for emergency medical treatment.
Medical Response and Casualties
At the hospital, doctors assessed the condition of the injured individuals. One of the victims, identified as 21-year-old Ankit, had suffered critical head and facial injuries. Due to the severity of his wounds, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The other two victims, 21-year-old Jatin and 19-year-old Abhishek, were referred to a hospital in Sector-17, Rohini for advanced medical care. Despite efforts by the medical team, Jatin succumbed to his injuries during treatment. His death added to the tragedy, turning the accident into a double fatality case.
Abhishek, the youngest among the three, is currently undergoing treatment. Hospital authorities have reported that his condition remains serious, and he is under close medical observation.
Background of the Victims
The victims came from modest backgrounds and were actively involved in their professional lives. Ankit, who lost his life at the scene, was a resident of Kasimpur Khedi village in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. He was employed in a private job in Kundli, Sonipat, and was known among his peers as a hardworking young man.
Jatin, the second victim who later died during treatment, lived in Rajiv Colony, Narela. He worked as a driver for a private school van, earning a livelihood to support himself and his family.
Abhishek, who survived the accident but remains critically injured, is also a resident of Rajiv Colony, Narela. He works as a bus driver for a private school in the same area and is currently fighting for his life in the hospital.
Police Action and Ongoing Investigation
Following the incident, hospital authorities informed the local police about the accident. A police official confirmed that the motorcycle involved in the accident was recovered from the spot, which will play a crucial role in the investigation.
Based on the initial findings and circumstances, the police registered a case related to the fatal road accident through a Daily Diary entry. To ensure proper legal proceedings and compensation-related assessments, the investigation has been handed over to the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal cell.
Authorities have assured that a detailed inquiry will be conducted to identify the unknown vehicle involved in the hit and run. Efforts are being made to review nearby surveillance footage and gather witness statements to trace the absconding driver.
