To find out who fired the bullet that killed Congress worker Rajashekar, police have stepped up their probe.

In relation to Rajashekar’s death, a formal complaint has been filed against a number of individuals, including MLA Bharat Reddy.

The inquiry is now under progress after the FIR was filed at the Bruce Pet Police Station in Ballari.

Several people are named in the FIR, including Chanal Shekhar, Nara Pratap Reddy, Nara Suryanarayana Reddy, and Satish Reddy, a close friend of Ballari city MLA Nara Bharat Reddy. MLA Janardhana Reddy and BJP employee Nagaraj submitted allegations, which led to the filing of the FIR.

MLA Janardhana Reddy filed a complaint accusing many people, including MLA Bharat Reddy, of assault and attempted murder.

BJP employee Nagaraj filed a supplementary complaint alleging riots, caste-based insults, trespassing, and attempted murder. B.Y. Vijayendra, the state president of the BJP, was also present when the complaints were submitted.

According to investigations, Rajashekar was hit with a 12 mm single-bore bullet that came from a single-barreled firearm.

According to police reports, four shooters who are associated with MLA Bharat Reddy’s close friend Satish Reddy are now evading capture.

According to the police, one shooter was seen shooting at Janardhana Reddy’s home during the incident.

Bharat Reddy’s followers informed the police that when Janardhana Reddy’s supporters reportedly engaged in violent stone-throwing at Satish Reddy, bullets were fired.

Concurrently, Janardhana Reddy’s home yielded another gunshot shell.

On Saturday, Ballari was visited by Inspector General of Police Varthika Katiyar, who examined the security measures. Since then, things have returned to normal in the city.

In response to inquiries about who terminated the Congress employee, she said that the inquiry is still in progress to determine the truth.

In the meanwhile, the city is being visited by Housing and Waqf Minister Zameer Ahmad Khan, who is also Ballari’s District In-charge Minister. He is supposed to meet Rajashekar’s family.

Congress MLA Bharat Reddy has been told to display restraint by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the party high command, according to sources.

The Congress was humiliated by Bharat Reddy’s hostile remarks on Janardhana Reddy.

Given that the officer was suspended only hours after taking over, the government’s decision to suspend Ballari Superintendent of Police Pavan Nejjur has sparked controversy.

The officer was suspended for neglecting to attend the scene during the incident, according to H.K. Patil, Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs. “It was important that he visited the spot, even if he had taken charge just 30 minutes earlier,” he said.
