Bharat Taxi: 56,000 drivers will be on board when launches on January 1.

Bharat Taxi:  is a new driver-owned ride-hailing service that will begin operating in Delhi on January 1, 2026, and is positioned as a rival to ride-hailing platforms like as Uber, Ola, and Rapido. Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited is promoting the platform, which will provide trips in automobiles, bike taxis, and autorickshaws. Approximately 56,000 drivers have enrolled on the site so far. One significant distinction from commission-based aggregators is that drivers are expected to keep around 80% of their revenues under the platform’s business model.

The platform has become the world’s biggest driver-owned transportation service prior to its launch. In addition to new features designed to handle common concerns, such as drivers declining trips and canceling reservations, the software attempts to manage surge pricing during busy hours.

The platform’s testing was finished in Delhi, and a comparable trial is now under progress in Rajkot, Gujarat, where it is anticipated to begin on February 1.

It will eventually be extended to more than 20 locations, according to officials. Users can easily register with their cellphone number, input their pick-up and drop-off locations, choose a ride, and follow their trip in real time on both the iOS and Android versions. Features of the app include real-time car monitoring, clear fares, easy smartphone booking, and round-the-clock customer service.
