White House: Rubio is assigned to oversee US post-operation plans in Venezuela
White House : said that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been appointed by President Donald Trump to spearhead the execution of Washington’s post-operation plan in Venezuela, describing a comprehensive government-wide endeavor including diplomatic, economic, financial, and military instruments.

The president’s close advisor Stephen Miller informed reporters at the White House on Monday that Rubio has been asked to coordinate across departments and implement the president’s directives.
Miller said, “The President of the United States has asked Secretary Rubio to directly enforce the President’s post guidance and direction to be the lead on this process.” The job includes “energy policy, Treasury policy, financial policy, military policy.”
According to Miller, the strategy demonstrates extensive administration-wide collaboration. He minimized his personal contribution and said, “It’s a big team, a group of people.” “I’m just honored to represent President Trump on this amazing team.”
When asked how Washington is essentially “running” Venezuela after Nicolás Maduro was arrested and a provisional leader was sworn in, Miller cited US influence over crucial pressure points. He said, “We have an oil embargo on Venezuela.” “They need our permission to engage in any kind of commerce.”
He also mentioned the US military’s ongoing presence in the area. “Our Armada and our enormous fleet are still there,” Miller said. “The US government is conducting a military operation that is active and continuing. Naturally, we establish the terms and conditions.
Miller dismissed the idea that Venezuela’s government is operating independently of Washington when asked whether more US troops might be sent in. “The Venezuelan government is collaborating and working directly with the United States,” he said.
Miller disputed claims that the public tone of Venezuelan leaders had changed. In reference to the interim leadership in Caracas, he said to a reporter, “I don’t know what conversations you’re having with her.” “But I’m telling you that we are receiving full, complete, and total cooperation from the Venezuelan government in our conversations.”
According to him, the government thinks that this kind of collaboration would result in domestic economic transformation. “The Venezuelan people will become richer than they have ever been as a result of that cooperation,” Miller said.
According to Miller, the US stands to benefit as well. “Obviously, this will greatly benefit the United States in terms of military, economic, and security cooperation, as well as counterterrorism, counternarcotics, and every other area of our security,” he said.
Miller described the operation in Venezuela as “one of the greatest strategic shifts, rebalancing of power and military victories” in US history, ending in the arrest of Maduro, and called it a landmark accomplishment. He refused to comment on whether such acts may be repeated in other places.
