Trump : claims that the cop “seems to have shot in self-defense” in the Minneapolis incident
Trump: A lady was shot dead in Minneapolis when an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer was conducting one of their “targeted operations” on Wednesday (local time), and US President Donald Trump backed the officer. “The woman ‘violently, willfully, and viciously’ ran over the ICE officer, who appears to have shot her in self-defense,” the US president stated. President Trump also accused the “radical left” of attacking and targeting American law enforcement officials, adding that the whole matter is being investigated.

The US President said, “I just watched the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota,” in a post on Truth Social. It’s terrible to watch. The lady driving the vehicle was very unruly, blocking and refusing, and then aggressively, purposefully, and cruelly drove over the ICE officer, who seems to have shot her in self-defense. The woman yelling was clearly a professional agitator.
He emphasized the need of supporting and shielding law enforcement personnel from the “Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate!”It is difficult to believe he is still alive based on the video that is linked, but he is now recuperating in the hospital. The whole case is being investigated, but the Radical Left’s daily threats, assaults, and targeting of our law enforcement officers and ICE agents is the reason these instances are occurring. All they are doing is attempting to make America safe. We must support and shield our law enforcement officers from this hateful and violent radical left movement.
Following the shooting death of a woman by a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer on Wednesday (local time), the Department of Homeland Security released a statement claiming that the officer fired defensive shots out of fear for his own life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement officers, and the public’s safety.
The Department of Homeland Security claimed in a post on X that rioters blocked ICE officers in Minneapolis while they were conducting “targeted operations” and that one of the “violent rioters” tried to kill the officers by running them over, calling it “an act of domestic terrorism.”
According to the statement, an ICE officer fired defensive bullets out of concern for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement officers, and public safety.
Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota responded to the announcement by saying that the state would make sure there is a thorough, impartial, and quick inquiry to guarantee justice and accountability.
“The presence of federal immigration enforcement agents is causing chaos in our city,” remarked Jacob Frey, the mayor of Minneapolis, in response to the shooting. We are calling on ICE to immediately vacate the city. We firmly support our communities of immigrants and refugees.
According to CNN, the incident took place as Minnesota was undergoing an immigration crackdown as part of the Trump administration’s countrywide enforcement campaign.
According to two law enforcement officials cited by CNN, some 2,000 federal officers were being sent to Minneapolis.
