Police said that during the tragic altercation, a visitor from Peshawar was also slain by the other gang.

Sohail, Wahidullah, Kashif, and Gohar are the victims; the fifth person’s name is still a mystery, according to ARY News.

For post-mortem tests, the corpses have been sent to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Karak. A sizable police presence was stationed in the neighborhood after the event to maintain law and order and look for the perpetrators.

The precise cause of the conflict is still unknown, according to police, and investigations are still underway.

Earlier, two different shooting events in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province claimed the lives of at least four police officers, according to Khaama Press.

In one instance, three police officers in the Lakki Marwat region were shot and killed quickly by unidentified gunmen on motorbikes.

Concerns over what seems to be a trend of targeted attacks on law enforcement agencies were raised by the shooting death of a police officer in Bannu district by unidentified attackers, according to Khaama Press.

According to Khaama Press, the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is believed to have a significant operational presence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, even though no group has yet to claim credit for the assaults.

In order to stop further violence, officials boosted security in the impacted regions, conducted investigations, and deployed more police.

According to Khaama Press, the attacks come after a similar occurrence in which five police officers were slain in the province on December 23 of last year. This episode highlights a concerning pattern of frequent attacks on security agents.

Due to ongoing insurgent activities and insurgency-related threats, 2025 has been one of the deadliest years for Pakistan’s security forces, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
