Governance – Dhami Reviews Party Strategy and Court Infrastructure
Governance – Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday held a series of meetings at his official residence, focusing on party organisation and development initiatives across several assembly constituencies.

Discussions Focus on Organisation and Development
The Chief Minister met Rajya Sabha MP and Bharatiya Janata Party state president Mahendra Bhatt, along with Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, MLA Khajan Das, and MLA Premchand Aggarwal. According to details shared by Dhami on social media platform X, the discussions were wide-ranging and centred on both organisational matters and constituency-level development work.
Dhami stated that he held a detailed exchange with Mahendra Bhatt regarding party-related responsibilities and coordination. In addition, he reviewed the status of government schemes, infrastructure projects, and other ongoing development initiatives with the attending legislators. The focus remained on assessing progress in their respective constituencies and identifying areas requiring further attention.
The meeting forms part of the state government’s continued review process aimed at ensuring timely implementation of public welfare schemes and infrastructure plans.
Inauguration of New Advocate Chambers in Khatima
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated newly constructed chambers for advocates at the Khatima Civil Court. The facility has been built at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore. The inauguration ceremony took place on the occasion of Mahashivratri, where Dhami formally opened the building by cutting the ribbon and lighting a ceremonial lamp.
Addressing members of the legal fraternity, Dhami extended his greetings for Mahashivratri and congratulated advocates on the completion of the new chambers. He described the facility as a significant addition to the court infrastructure in the region.
Strengthening Judicial Infrastructure
The Chief Minister said that the new chambers are expected to serve as a dedicated space for legal consultation, professional discussions, and study. He added that improved infrastructure would help streamline judicial work and create a more efficient environment for advocates and litigants.
Referring to national efforts, Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several initiatives have been undertaken to modernise the judicial system and improve transparency. He noted that more than 7,000 court buildings and approximately 11,000 residential units for judicial officers have been constructed across the country in recent years.
According to Dhami, these developments reflect a broader push to strengthen institutional capacity and enhance access to justice.
Focus on Regional Development
Highlighting local priorities, the Chief Minister said that the new court facility would benefit advocates practicing in Khatima and adjoining areas, as well as residents who rely on the local judicial system. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to modernising legal infrastructure and improving legal education standards in Uttarakhand.
Dhami also emphasised that comprehensive development remains a priority for Khatima. He stated that various sectors in the region would receive focused attention to ensure balanced growth.
During the event, the Chief Minister announced an additional allocation of Rs 2.5 crore for the construction of 20 more advocate chambers. The expansion, he said, is intended to accommodate growing demand and further strengthen the legal framework at the district level.
The meetings and the inauguration ceremony together underline the government’s parallel focus on political coordination and infrastructure development. While party discussions aimed at reviewing organisational matters and constituency-level progress, the investment in court infrastructure signals continued emphasis on administrative efficiency and public service delivery in Uttarakhand.
