Canada shootout: According to Peel Regional Police, three tow-truck drivers of Indian descent have been taken into custody in relation to a shooting that was connected to a long-simmering feud between two tow-truck organizations in Brampton, Canada. One individual was hurt in the violent October 7 event, which was captured on camera and subsequently made public by the police.

Police said the incident happened in a parking lot close to the junction of McVean Drive and Castlemore Road at about 10.45 p.m. local time. A dispute between two opposing parties became violent. According to authorities, one person received treatment for minor wounds that were not life-threatening.

Prolonged Interrogation Results in Arrests
The three males were arrested when detectives carried out a search warrant at a Caledon home on November 20. Manjot Bhatti, Navjot Bhatti, and Amanjot Bhatti are the names of the people that were arrested. According to authorities, all three of them are of Indian descent and were operating tow trucks when the event occurred.

Manjot Bhatti has been charged with a number of firearm-related offenses, such as recklessly firing a firearm on purpose, possessing a loaded firearm that is prohibited or restricted, storing a firearm carelessly, carrying a concealed weapon, knowing that a firearm was in the vehicle, and being in the car knowing that a firearm was inside. Peel police announced that he was freed on bail after being detained for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Both Navjot and Amanjot Bhatti are accused of being in a car with knowledge that a handgun was inside. Both individuals are set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later time after being released on an undertaking with conditions.

Peel Regional Police asked the public to come forward with any information after releasing camera footage and a picture of the suspect. “In our community, gun violence will not be accepted. In a statement on social networking site X, police said, “We will keep cracking down on this kind of criminal behavior.”

The event has once again raised awareness to violent altercations in certain areas of the Greater Toronto Area that are connected to tow-truck rivalry. As they continue to identify members of the other group engaged in the brawl, police indicated that investigations are continuing and that further arrests may be made.
