“Greetings to Thiru Rajinikanth Ji on the special occasion of his 75th birthday,” PM Modi said on the social media site X. Generations have been enthralled by his performances, which have garnered widespread appreciation. His corpus of work continuously establishes standards across a variety of positions and genres.

“He celebrated 50 years in the film industry this year, which made it noteworthy. I’m hoping for a long and healthy life for him,” he said.

One of the most important performers in Indian film is Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, better known by his stage name Rajinikanth. He became quite well-known due to his distinctive mannerisms, captivating on-screen persona, and distinctive language delivery technique. Rajinikanth has made contributions as a playback vocalist, producer, and screenwriter in addition to his acting career.

Before going into the movie business, Rajinikanth, who is originally from Karnataka, was employed by the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation as a bus conductor. In order to foster his passion in performing and hone his abilities, he actively engaged in theatrical productions during this time.

Ramoji Rao Gaekwad, a police policeman, and Ramabai, a housewife, welcomed Rajinikanth into the world on December 12, 1950. On February 26, 1981, he wed Latha Rangachari at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth are the couple’s two daughters.

The 1975 Tamil film “Apoorva Raagangal,” which went on to win three National Film Awards, including Best Tamil Feature Film, marked Rajinikanth’s acting debut. “Katha Sangama” (1976), his second film, was a new-wave experiment. Since then, Rajinikanth has never turned back. His strong performances are still recognized in a number of his early films, such as “Moondru Mudichu,” “Baalu Jenu,” “Mullum Malarum,” “Chilakamma Cheppindi,” “Garjanai,” and “Bhuvana Oru Kelvikkuri.”

Rajinikanth’s impact on film peaked in the 1990s with hits like “Annamalai” (1992), “Baashha” (1995), “Muthu” (1995), and “Padayappa” (1999). ‘Baashha’, in which he played Manikkam, became a symbol of Indian popular culture. Rajinikanth’s global fan base grew when “Muthu” earned unparalleled success in Japan, outperforming a number of Western celebrities.

He made a strong comeback with “Chandramukhi” (2005), a record-breaking hit, after a short period of experimentation in the early 2000s with “Baba.” The sci-fi epic “Enthiran” (2010), its sequel “2.0” (2018), and “Sivaji” (2007) all established new benchmarks for technical mastery in Indian film. With every production, Rajinikanth demonstrated that his celebrity could transform any release into a global movie celebration.

Rajinikanth has received unparalleled acclaim for his accomplishments, including the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, Dadasaheb Phalke Award, and several state and national honors. But more than accolades, his humility, spirituality, and the unwavering connection he has with his followers are what will really define his legacy. One of the most significant figures in Asian entertainment is Rajinikanth, a guy whose success stems from his simplicity.
