Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma : Prior to the release of “Rahu Ketu,”conduct prayers at Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling.

Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma: “Rahu Ketu” is the next comedy film starring Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma, the well-known “Fukrey” team.

Before the film’s January 16 release, Pulkit and Varun made the decision to worship at Ujjain’s renowned Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling.

On social media, Pulkit even shared a few photos from their holy journey, showing the whole group receiving blessings from Mahadev.

Pulkit and Varun were shown enthusiastically singing “Har Har Mahadev” while seated in what seemed to be an e-rikshaw in one of the post’s videos.

“Har Har Mahadev (Folded hands and Trishul emojis) Mahakal ke aashirwad ke saath, Rahu Ketu taiyyar hai to see you all in cinemas on 16th January(Folded hands emoji)” , the post’s caption said.

The ensemble cast of “Rahu Ketu,” which was directed by Vipul Vig, includes Shalini Pandey, Piyush Mishra, Chunky Pandey, Amit Sial, and Manurishi Chaddha, among others.

“We’ve had the most fun shooting this full-on, hilariously twisted chaos of a film,” Pulkit stated in a statement about his next project. I’m eager for viewers to see our creations.

“I knew this was going to be unlike anything we’ve ever done the moment I heard Rahu Ketu—and what an experience it’s been,” Varun said.

“Astrology has always fascinated me, and I was eager to explore reimagining it through humor and heart,” said director Vipul. It felt both comfortable and exciting to collaborate with Varun and Pulkit once again, this time as a director, after having written the Fukrey movies. It has been very fantastic to make my directorial debut with Rahu Ketu.

The film tells the story of Rahu and Ketu, two naive yet endearing characters who embark on a crazy quest to recover Churu Lal’s magical notebook from the cunning Meenu Taxi.

Supported by BLive Productions and Zee Studios, “Rahu Ketu” is scheduled for release on January 16, 2026.
