Entertainment – Sourabh Raaj Jain Explores OTT, Theatre and Radio Together
Entertainment – Actor Sourabh Raaj Jain is stepping into a new phase of his career, taking on diverse roles across three different platforms at the same time. With projects lined up in digital streaming, live theatre, and radio, the performer describes the experience as similar to returning to school and studying multiple subjects within the same field.

Expanding Horizons Across Platforms
Sourabh is preparing for his debut on the OTT platform with Rajshri’s upcoming series Sangamarmar. At the same time, he is gearing up for his first appearance on the big screen with the film Mere Krishn. Adding to this busy schedule, he is also collaborating with a radio station, where he lends his voice to narrate engaging stories.
Speaking about managing these varied formats, the actor shared that working simultaneously in digital entertainment, theatre, and radio has been both challenging and rewarding. According to him, each medium demands a distinct approach and offers a unique creative satisfaction.
Understanding the Shift in Digital Entertainment
Discussing the OTT space, Sourabh noted how streaming platforms have reshaped the way audiences consume content. He believes that digital platforms have altered storytelling patterns and production methods, giving creators and viewers a broader range of choices.
In contrast, theatre brings him back to the fundamentals of acting. Performing live before an audience, he said, requires spontaneity, discipline, and a strong command over expressions and dialogue delivery. The immediacy of audience reactions makes the stage experience both intense and fulfilling.
The Unique Challenge of Radio
Radio, however, presents an entirely different challenge. Without the support of visuals, an actor must rely solely on voice to convey emotions and meaning. Sourabh explained that this limitation actually makes the medium more demanding and satisfying.
He emphasized that voice modulation becomes a powerful instrument in radio storytelling. Expressing feelings, building tension, and creating imagery through sound alone pushes an actor to explore new dimensions of performance. For him, this format offers an exciting opportunity to sharpen his craft.
A Learning Phase in His Career
Reflecting on his current journey, Sourabh compared it to being a student once again. Handling three mediums simultaneously, he said, feels like training across different disciplines under one umbrella. Each platform attracts a different audience and requires sensitivity to varied nuances.
He believes that adapting to these formats is helping him grow as a performer. Working across OTT, theatre, and radio is not only expanding his experience but also strengthening his versatility in the entertainment industry.
Known for Memorable Roles
Over the years, Sourabh Raaj Jain has built a strong presence on Indian television. He gained popularity through roles in shows such as Remix and Uttaran. His portrayal of Lord Krishna in Mahabharat earned him widespread recognition, while his appearance in Mahakali further strengthened his reputation for mythological characters.
He is also set to portray Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in an upcoming film currently under production, marking another significant addition to his career.
Beyond Fiction: Reality Television and Personal Life
Apart from fiction, Sourabh has participated in reality television as well. He was seen last year in Tu Dhadkan Main Dil and earlier appeared alongside his wife in Nach Baliye 9.
Sourabh married Riddhima Jain in 2010 after dating for three years. The couple welcomed twins, a daughter named Hrishika and a son named Hrishivh, in August 2017.
As he balances multiple creative avenues, Sourabh Raaj Jain continues to expand his artistic footprint, embracing both traditional and emerging forms of storytelling in the evolving world of entertainment.
