Amanda Seyfried: According to Amanda Seyfried, who co-stars with Sydney in the mystery-thriller movie The Housemaid, she and her co-star have a lot of similarities, calling them “uncanny.”

“There’s a similarity between us that is uncanny, and it’s really fun to work with people (who) are doing life in a similar way, have similar ideals about the job and life,” Seyfried told the BBC.

According to femalefirst.co.uk, Seyfried stated it was difficult to portray a housewife who battles mental health problems in the film.

Seyfried spoke about how she approached the part, saying, “You have to play it as realistic as possible because it needs to reflect real life.”

Seyfried praised Sweeney and referred to her co-star as a “sweetheart” earlier this month.

She commended Sweeney for managing the demands of success and celebrity.

Vanity Fair quoted the Hollywood actress as saying, “I’m not envious of what she’s going through. We clicked right away, and I’ve spent a lot of time with her. She is quite charming. At her core, she is a really nice and giving person. I must admit that I have never experienced a moment as she is.

“Lindy Lohan, my co-star from Mean Girls, and I are friends, and giving individuals that type of instant fame is really, really, very bad for them. Because any news, whether positive or negative, is still a glaring spotlight that you must navigate to stay out of it. I don’t believe most individuals can figure out that kind of gymnastics at that age.”

The actress believes it might be “dangerous” to become famous overnight. The actress did, however, commend Sydney for handling the increased spotlight.

“It’s just dangerous, because it can’t be good for your psyche when you have people… on you—or idolizing you and following you around,” she said. It cannot give you a sense of security.

However, I really respect Syd’s attendance at work. Despite her misery, she never fails to wear a grin. I’m hoping it stays the same. I’m hoping she doesn’t get harder. All I want to do is keep observing her work. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing ladies and actors who have supported me throughout my life.
