The Best Limited Series award went to the series. Along with co-stars Owen Cooper and Erin Doherty, main actor and writer-producer Stephen Graham collected the honor on stage.

People reports that Graham praised the cast and crew and discussed equality and collaboration while on stage. He explained how his mother instilled valuable life lessons in him and emphasized that all participants in the performance were on an equal footing. Additionally, Jesus spoke about children and exhorted parents to cherish them.I want to express my gratitude to the whole cast and crew, without whom none of this would be possible. In his victory speech, Graham said, “We’re all exactly the same.”‘You’re never above anybody and you’re never below anyone,’ said my mother when I was a child. Thus, we are all on an equal footing. Additionally, he said, “I believe the ethos we brought to this piece paid off in this production.”

Adolescence not only won Best Limited Series, but it also took first place in the acting categories. For his performance as Eddie Miller, Stephen Graham was awarded Best Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television. Erin Doherty won Best Supporting Actress in the same category, while Owen Cooper was named Best Supporting Actor.

A key character in the series, 16-year-old Owen Cooper, spoke about how the previous year has changed his and his family’s lives.

Cooper praised his family and the show’s creators for supporting him as he spoke on stage, reflecting on how the last year had impacted his life. “Honestly, this past year has been a total whirlwind for my family and me,” he remarked. It has permanently altered our life, and we will always be appreciative. We have treasured each and every moment of it. I would want to thank the directors, producers, actors, and crew for taking me on an emotional trip that I never would have thought possible.”

With six nominations overall, Adolescence was one of the most nominated series at this year’s Critics Choice Awards. The show has already won the 2025 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.

Owen portrays 13-year-old student Jamie Miller, who is detained in connection with a murder investigation, in the four-episode Netflix series Adolescence. The episode examines why Jamie’s life went in that route rather than who perpetrated the crime. Amelie Pease plays Jamie’s sister, Christine Tremarco plays his mother, and Stephen Graham plays his father in the television series. In its first three months, the program had over 141 million views, making it Netflix’s second most-watched series behind Wednesday, according to Deadline.
