iPhone 16: According to a recent study, the US-based tech giant Apple sold over 6.5 million iPhone 16 devices in the first 11 months of 2025, making it the best-selling smartphone in the nation.

According to the Counterpoint Research analysis, Apple surpassed its Android competitors within the same time frame. The iPhone 15 also made it into the top five best-selling list, but the discrepancy is glaring, according to the research firm’s statistics.
Apple’s achievement, according to the research company, demonstrates shifting consumer behavior in a market that has long been dominated by entry-level and mid-range devices.
Additionally, the shift is supported by Apple’s strategic initiative to increase domestic production and lessen dependency on China. Apple now has five retail locations in India after opening three new locations in Bengaluru, Pune, and Noida.
High-end phones are becoming more affordable for more customers thanks to financing alternatives including bank incentives, cashbacks, and free EMIs. According to recent industry statistics, Apple Inc. sent $2 billion worth of iPhones in November, the biggest value of exports from India.
With $2 billion worth of iPhone shipments in November, Apple recorded the greatest value of exports from India. One in five iPhones produced worldwide in FY25 were built or assembled in India, according to a business filing released in November. Apple India reported record-high domestic sales of $9 billion in FY25.
Twelve percent of Apple’s total output value came from its manufacture in India. Additionally, the manufacturer of iPhones started producing the premium Pro and Pro Max versions locally in India for the first time.
According to the company’s reports, the Americas generated $178.4 billion in FY25, or around 43% of Apple’s total sales. An increasing proportion of those iPhones were sent from India. The
