BombThreat – Security Sweep Conducted at Warangal Court After Email Alert

BombThreat – A tense atmosphere briefly gripped the Warangal District Court complex on Thursday after authorities received an email warning of a possible bomb threat. Police teams responded swiftly, deploying bomb disposal experts to examine the premises. After several hours of detailed inspection, officials confirmed that no suspicious materials were found.

Warangal court bomb threat alert

Police Launch Immediate Search Operation

According to local police officials, the alert was received earlier in the day, prompting immediate coordination between the Subedari police station and specialised bomb detection units. Officers sealed key entry and exit points while security teams combed through courtrooms, administrative offices and surrounding areas.

Inspector Ranjit Kumar of Subedari Police Station stated that every section of the building was inspected as part of standard operating procedures. Despite the seriousness of the message, the search yielded no evidence of explosives or hazardous materials.

Officials said court activities were briefly disrupted during the operation but resumed once authorities declared the premises safe.

Case Registered, Investigation Continues

Although the threat turned out to be a hoax, police have formally registered a case and begun efforts to trace the origin of the email. Cybercrime teams are assisting in tracking digital footprints associated with the message.

Authorities emphasised that such threats are treated with utmost seriousness, regardless of their authenticity. Investigators are examining technical details, including the sender’s IP address and email routing data, to determine whether the message originated locally or from another region.

For now, the situation in Warangal remains calm, with security measures temporarily heightened as a precaution.

Similar Alert at Lucknow Civil Court

In a separate but comparable incident earlier this week, the Lucknow Civil Court also received a bomb threat, triggering an extensive security operation. The court complex, located in the Wazirganj police station jurisdiction, was quickly secured by local law enforcement.

Bomb disposal squads, dog squads and senior officers rushed to the site soon after the alert was received. Officials conducted a systematic search across court buildings and surrounding premises to ensure public safety.

Senior officers, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) West and the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Chowk, supervised the operation on the ground. Authorities later confirmed that no explosive devices or suspicious objects were discovered.

Heightened Vigilance Across Court Complexes

Security experts note that courts and other public institutions remain sensitive locations due to high daily footfall. Even unverified threats can cause significant disruption, prompting law enforcement agencies to respond with maximum caution.

In both Warangal and Lucknow, officials followed established security protocols designed for emergency threat response. These procedures include immediate evacuation if necessary, controlled perimeter security, coordinated bomb detection sweeps and digital investigation into the source of the threat.

Police authorities have urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information and to rely only on official updates. They also warned that individuals responsible for issuing false bomb threats face serious legal consequences under criminal law.

Investigation Focuses on Digital Trail

With physical searches completed and no danger detected, investigators are now concentrating on cyber forensics. Tracking anonymous emails often involves coordination between local police, cybercrime specialists and internet service providers.

Officials say identifying the sender is a priority, as hoax threats not only strain public resources but also create unnecessary fear among citizens and court staff.

Further details regarding both cases are expected as investigations progress.
